We Value Communication

Single Ply Roof Process

Step | 01

Roof Deck

Depending on your roof decking, which is often concrete, wood, or corrugated steel, the first step is picking the attachment system which will fluctuate the roof price.

The attachment systems are:
-Mechanically Attached
-(Fastened)Fully-Adhered
-(Glued)Rhinobond (Welded)

Step | 02

Insulation and Coverboard

Picking the type and amount of insulation will provide your new roof with an R-value and reap energy savings. Insulation can also provide positive drainage in order to remove any ponding water.

Not necessary but highly recommended, a coverboard could be placed on top of the insulation for protection against fire, moisture, and heavy traffic.

Step | 03

Single-Ply Membrane

With insulation in place, the single-ply membrane will be laid on the roof and, depending on the attachment system, can be mechanically attached, fully adhesive, or rhinobond.

The final step is heat-welded seams, which join the membrane sheets together, giving the roof a watertight finish. Any additional penetrations, such as pipes or AC units, will be flashed with a highly flexible detail membrane, securing the roof with a watertight finish.
